A classic Australian play that I have to teach in 2021. Certainly a very good play but maybe a little dated now. It will be interesting to explore contemporary social values in the 1950s with the students and compare with Australia today. It is as much a history lesson as a dramatic text. Interesting to read a play I have never seen performed.
