A great fictional story of family survival in a remote place with something of a mystery attached.
There were some plot holes but that did really detract from the story. Despite it being a fictional story, there were some real world aspect that were drawn upon, quite fascinating.

Hard to review. I liked the concept but I found that there were alot of plot lines going on - probably too many? And I felt that this meant I felt like I got half a story and half the character development that I wanted. Maybe if this was just about climate changes and a mystery it might have worked better. I did enjoy the family dynamics and the mystery aspects, and, without giving any spoilers away- it is probably worth a re-read to see if time and distance change my opinion, because the writi
