This book took me forever to finish. It's an okay story, but not one of those books I want to carry with me everywhere I go and devour whenever I get a spare 5 minutes. Honey Brown's first book, Red Queen, sounds much more compelling.

Mixed feelings about this book, but I did enjoy it over all. Rebecca is a tough young woman growing up in a small country town. Her mother has died and she lives with her step father, an interstate truck driver who often leaves her on her own. She grows up very quickly as she discovers boys, and gets caught up in other family’s dramas.
