Karly Lane never disappoints, her stories are beautifully written with wonderful characters and awesome rural settings and the emotions fly from the pages and this one is just beautiful, we all cope with grief differently and maybe that is what has bought Reggie and Tim together, come along and meet them you are sure to be left smiling.

I particularly appreciated the setting in this novel, small-town New England, I know that area & went to uni in "Armaglen" way back in the darkest reaches of last century.
The characters are truly likable, even if Reggie almost lost me with Felicity-the-unforgiven (it's not always about you, Reggie my girl!). Tim is very well-written: how much of this continues to be unspoken, undealt with? how many men take their inability to cope to an early grave? Quite a few, I imagine. I love the idea of the ...more

Another fine rural story by well known Aussie author Karly Lane. Reggie returns home to Australia after her parents are injured in a car accident to help run the family property with her brother Brent. Heartbreak follows with the death of a loved one, but Reggie is determined to learn the family business and keep the family farm running. Tim arrives and rents one of the cottages on the property but he is trying to escape the demons that haunt him from his time in the army. A lovely story evolves
