“Cat felt that sense of pleasure and pride she always felt when she saw her sisters in public. ‘Look at them!’ she wanted to say to people. ‘My sisters. Aren’t they great? Aren’t they annoying?’”
I reckon that’s just how siblings think about each other – alternating rapidly between loyalty and rivalry. In this case, Moriarty gives us triplets, which includes a pair of blonde identical twins, and an outlier, redheaded Gemma. They are the result of an impulsive, lusty coupling in the backseat of ...more

THREE WISHES is only my second read by Liane Moriarty novel. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as her more popular The Husband’s Secret, but I really did. THREE WISHES is Liane’s debut novel and even though I’ve only read one other book by this author I can tell her writing has grown so much. That being said, THREE WISHES is a fun story and at times painful. Being a triplet must be real crazy at times!

I'm not sure whether this isn't as good as some of the author's later works, or whether it was just that the narrator made the characters seem less plausible than they should have been. Perhaps a combination of both. It's still an interesting enough read, and with elements that I can see are classic Moriarty, but I'm glad that Liane Moriarty has progressed in her writing ability since writing this.

Set in Sydney Australia and featuring three sisters who are triplets, I found this to be a fast read with lots of humor and family drama.

A plesant enough read about a year in the life of triplets, from each perspective, and some onlookers. I didn't particularly care about any of the characters and I didn't find it funny. It wasn't a rivetting read - if I put it down, I wasn't overly bothered to get back into it, but ok for light reading over summer.

The Kettle triplets seem to attract attention wherever they go, two of them are identical, Lyn and Cat, who are both married and successful and Gemma who single and unpredictable. They are out celebrating their birthday and it comes to am abrupt end with a very public violent argument and emergency dash to the hospital. A quirky, fun and drama filled novel about the Kettle family particularly focused on the triplets and their relationship.
