What an awesome debut, this book is fabulous, a real page turner, so well written anyone who enjoys a good crime story that has so much emotion in it as well then you need to get out and buy, or borrow this book and read it, I could barely put it down, getting to know Detective Emilia Hart was the best, I was cheering her on, what a woman.

The thrill started right away from the first chapter and didn’t stop.

Detective Sergeant Emilia Hart was in the right place at the right time (or wrong place at the wrong time) when a defence barrister got shot down in front of her eyes. Soon, body counts started piling up and an organised movement called Daughters of Eve claimed responsibility. An excellent debut from this Aussie author. Emilia Hart is a fabulous protagonist. I can only imagine the misogynistic culture prevalent in the police force, probably runs close to that in politics.

I love what the Daughters of Eve were achieving, unfortunately they didn't go about it cleverly enough. They are right that too many men get away with violence against women & children, usually because of likeminded lawyers. Pathetic excuses for human beings these abusers are & should be put down like
