I couldn’t believe the pace of this book - it seemed like there was hardly a moment to breathe for the first 200 pages (1/3 of the book)! And how Matthew Reilly thinks of all these different sub-plots and can weave them all together is beyond me!
And all I can say is, I know this scenario probably isn’t typical US Marine Corp work (based on something that was said at the end), but I guess their work is generally kind of similar situations, so I’m glad I’m a dietitian!

Oh sure, there is action!!! And sure, its easy to read!!! But the lack of intelligent dialog!!! Was getting a little painful!!! It could have been something quite interesting in the story line!!! But all of his books always seem to go the more boring route!! Predictable!!! EVERYTHING is JUST in the nick of time!!! And for those who have read the book!!! Would understand!!! My poor grammer!!!!

This was my first Mathew Rielly novel. I was surprised how much I liked it. Action thriller with espionage, military attacks and even Killer Whales. The action does not stop from start to finish. The protagonist is tough as nails, clever and suitably flawed. My favourite character is Mother.
Far too many unrealistic survival scenarios. Scientific facts are seriously flawed, e.g. storage and behaviour of liquid nitrogen
