Started reading "After America" before realising it was the second book in a trilogy so got this one instead. Interestingly many reviewers criticised " I am Pilgrim" for its American jingoism, but I found this far worse. The characters' attitudes towards other groups, particularly the French. would have brought a smile to the faces of Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and the other Neocon war mongers but I just found it irritating. I liked Cailin and her one woman war on the bad guys
Julianne was good to watch too.. but the end of Fifi was unexpected.
None of the male characters are even remotely charming or interesting except Melton but as he intersected with Caitlin.

Interesting concept, but the story never really went anywhere, and it all ended with a fizzle.
