The final conclusion to The Black Magician trilogy. In this one, Sonea finally grew out of middle-grade school drama and managed to (kind of) focus on her study. As the apprentice of the High Lord, she got opportunities that other students wouldn’t have access to, including the knowledge of this particular thing that she hadn’t wanted to know in the first place.

This book was incredible, like crazy amazing, the whole series was really, at first it struck me as a rather immature sort of fantasy, as i read the magicians apprentice BEFORE reading the black magician trilogy, but as you work through each of the novels, more and more mature and dense themes come into play major focal points of each characters own story.
if i could i would give this 12 out of 10, definitely a book i will go back to time and time again

This final instalment of the Black Magician Trilogy kept me enthralled from cover to cover. It was a great way to finish the trilogy and provided a nice twist at the end to satisfy my aversion to predictable conclusions.
This trilogy is an easy and enjoyable read and I hope to pick up more titles from this author.
