"An extraordinary story about a couple’s experience of moving into the remote Australian wilderness." Yes, I'd have to agree with the book description that this beginning of the book is extraordinary. It is really the one of two things I found interesting in this book. The isolation combined with Australian weather and a new marriage against one's expectations made the story engaging as we witnessed them working as partners and their resilience when things didn't work out. Not a light read but beautifully written. His evocation of the lightning storm is one of the best pieces of description I have ever read.
