Well, everyone was right. Great story. Read many war books before, but this one was great in the way it was written and that it was written by Deaths perspective. When I started the book, I was worried about the excerpts that appeared, but it did not take long for me to enjoy them and look forward to them, as well as the summary/dot points at the beginning of the chapters.

This is an extraordinary book, one of the best things I've read in years! (And I read a lot!) Brilliantly conceived and beautifully written. Though I have owned a copy for some time but it wasn't until I bought the audiobook that I finally got to it. And audio was a great way to enjoy the beautiful way this author uses language, his poetic words and phrases. This novel will be on school reading lists. But don't let that discourage you. There's a reason for it. It is destined to become a classic!
