This book was the most delightful surprise. I ended up liking it so much.
Margie is 80 and is recovering from a hip operation. Whilst awaiting a bed in a rehab facility, her rooming situation in hospital becomes unbearable and she is forced to accept her daughter in law Stella’s offer for her to come and stay on the family farm. Stella and Margie. Oh, my heart. What a beautiful story of two very different women. I found myself grieving with both of them and loving them, even in their imperfections. And then equally wanting to shake sense into both of them!
