A beautifully written book, full of emotion, hopes, dreams and sadness. Robert Crofts is a young English man who arrives in Melbourne destitute via North Queensland. He is uneducated, but is determined to educate himself and gets an Arts degree from Melbourne University and dreams of becoming a writer.
