First novel by a new melbourne based writer. Took me a little while to get into this one, but tells the tale of May who falls in love with Sam who is a little older than her. Coming from a country town May is a little naive about relationships. Living with her parents is challenging with her father suffering from PTSD and disappearing frequently, and her mother who is in denial about a lot of things and very strict with May.
