The Dark Days Pact was an enjoyable continuation of the Lady Helen series. It perhaps didn't captivate me quite as much as book one, but that is often the case with a middle book in a trilogy. It was still a fun story, though, and it set things up for what should be a gripping conclusion in the final volume, which I look forward to starting tonight. For anyone who enjoyed book one, they should have few complaints about how this series is progressing. It gets 4.5 stars from me.
