A clear and interesting summary of the evidence that fragrance (in cleaning products, perfumes etc) can have negative health impacts on people. Grenville over-eggs the epidemiological pudding a bit sometimes, and the book clearly has a strong agenda, but it raises some important concerns and questions on a topic I'd never really thought about.

I enjoyed this book. It made me aware of things I didn't know before. I will now be looking at labels more closely (and was sad to see that the new laundry powder I bought recently has fragrance).
Some have criticised the "incorrect" scientific statements, but the author is a novelist not a scientist, and put the information into layman's terms to the best of her understanding. It's not a doctoral thesis.
