A readable and entertaining slice of historical Melbourne, telling the story of twins who leave Kyneton for the big smoke. I liked but didn't love it - it's smartly constructed, and the portrait of an earlier Melbourne is lovely, but I didn't find the plot or the writing hugely memorable. ...more
