A very confronting story. Very confronting.
I felt the first chapters to be rather violent and distasteful. I almost stopped reading.
I'm glad I continued.
A dual narrative from the WWII concentration camps to modern day Melbourne.
I felt the plot twist at the end to be challenging and tied up some loose ends. Though ultimately no character is redeemed.
Definitely not one for the faint heart. Themes of war violence, underage sex, racism.
