Reading Josephine Barrett's book was like drinking hot chocolate in front of the fire on a cold winter's day.
An easy read but well written with colourful characters - the book would make perfect holiday reading, particularly those readers who are into food.
Recipes throughout the book were from the 70s/80s, mainly based on French classics and not terribly interesting. But the food angle is so much more than this!!!
