Driving back to Makowa Lodge in the Kakadu National Park, Ellie Porter realized that while she had enjoyed her time off work, she was keen to be back doing what she loved. A helicopter pilot, she took tour groups across and through the park, with sunset trips being extremely popular. I am always up for an Annie Seaton book, she writes fabulous stories and this one has been sitting on my TBR pile for a while, I have read books four and five in the series and I knew I needed to read the first three and I was not sorry, only sorry I have waited so long to read this one. An enjoyable rural romance set around Kakadu NP in the NT. I loved the tour of Kakadu. I was there in 2001 (over 20 years ago, I can't believe it!) but I didn't have the wonderful opportunity of having a chopper tour, that would have been brilliant. I also love that Ellie Porter is the helicopter pilot - what a fantastic job she has, I wouldn't want to leave it either.
Kane lost me at the start with the "babe" business but he grew on me in the end. I make allowances for the trauma ...more
