I can see why people didn't like this one as much because there was tons of setup for the next leg of the series, similar to books 5 and 6. I didn't mind most of it, except that unlike most fans I am super tired of Qhuinn and Blaylock and I wish that they would just, as Little Wayne put it so eloquently, leave the old shit in the rest room.

The 9th book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. This one is supposedly the story of Payne (V's sister) and her mate but thankfully that's only marginally the main story. Their courtship is the same one we see every time that reminds me of what people think a Tarzan movie should be.
