Philip Graham is credited with calling journalism "the first rough draft of history." The author of The Perfect Weapon, David E Sanger, one of the highly respected journalists for the New York Times, called his book "current history." I am going with a 'polished second draft of history.'

Whoa!!!! I knew I was going to read a good book...not a scary one. Having followed Sanger via Twitter, NYT & as part of DSR; this was a no brainer & must read. As technology continues to expand into every aspect of our lives, so does our nation's cyber vulnerability and the race of who can hack better and faster. Sanger's writing and ability to explain such a complicated, technological issue makes this book easy to follow and raise your awareness on the continued pushing of boundaries between ad ...more

There are some terrifying anecdotes in here about bipartisan screw ups concerning the development of counter intelligence and the failure to take the Russians and North Koreans seriously in the run up to the 2016 election. Still, while the Obama administration seemed to be successfully thwarting at least some missive tests for the North, it is notable that major achievements in a separate missile program occurred under Trump.
