some adventure, intrigue, many real historical figures, 2 different cute love stories, self discoveries, and it was well written. Just a bit long, which made it seem a little slow at times, and sometimes too many characters- b/c I can tell the author loved the historical research she had done. I'd recommend this book! ...more
