Unbelievable story after story after story, about a man who began as a pie stealing mischievous boy, overcame tons of obstacles to make it to the Olympics, stole a flag from a building Hitler was in and got away with it, and then served in WWII as a bombardier, where the story really takes off in intensity. The number of times he survived unthinkable situations has got to be some kind of record. Yet his last great trial was overcome not by his Herculean endurance and defiance, but by letting go
