Normally I like closure and flash forwards at the end of a book ... this one not so much. It could have ended without the 2014 flash forward and I’d have been okay.

But overall I really enjoyed the book. I prefer the chapters of Marie more than those or Werner .... but was sad the way they finally met and more sad the way it ended.

Love the buildings and puzzles that Marie’s father makes her ... and the love and devotion he and Etienne have for this blind child.

Great read!

I love the detailed descriptions in this book. I could picture each character so easily. I did think it was a little hard to read in the beginning since it jumped back & forth so much, but after a while, it got easier to read. Would recommend this book!
(PS- The show is nothing like the book!)
