I'm not always a huge fan of fake girlfriends/boyfriends/fiancees in books...but this one worked for me on every level. Maybe it was because of how Sunny and Max met? Maybe it was because it didn't feel fake? I'm not entirely sure why this worked for me, but it did.

I loved the "first" meeting between them, how she wasn't intimidated by who he was and stood up to him, demanding answers about the girl that hit her car. And I loved that he wasn't a jerk about it. I loved how even when Sunny was un ...more

Holy. Heartbeating. Goodness. Batman!

Ok, when I read the blurb for Fake Fiance, I knew I wanted to read it. It sounded really good so I immediately signed up for an arc. I had no idea it would be so beyond the awesomeness I expected!

I freaking LOVED this book! I read it in one day. I have to admit that I was sneaking my phone at work and as soon as quitting time hit, I rushed home to finish! Amazing. So freaking good. I don't know if you're getting the picture yet... but I LOOOOVED it!

Sunny and Max were the cutest! Chemistry galore! Omg the feels. Ok, so now is where I try to tell you about the book, without spoiling anything. Sunny and Max are both at the same college. He's the star quarterback and she's an art major. They happen to live across the street from each other and certain unpleasant circumstances leads Sunny to Max's door one morning for a bitching out. Only, that leads to a proposal... of a sort. See, Max needs to stay focused on football as its his last year and he's aiming for the Heisman trophy. There's one problem, his ex and all the groupies who won't leave him alone. This is where Sunny comes in. She needs money and so when Max suggests they fake a relationship, it seems like a win for them both. Only, they didn't expect those pesky things called feelings to get involved.

What I loved most about their "fake" relationship, was that they formed a true friendship. Yeah they were pretend dating, but it didn't seem that way at all. For the reader as well as the couple. That friendship grew and eventually they were in love with each other. They just didn't know how to deal with it. They both had things going on that they tried to focus on but it just wasn't happening.

There's a lot that I can't say, since it would spoil it. But I loved how they first met. And how that came back in to play later, and with Max revealing what he remembered. ❤ I can honestly say that there isn't anything I didn't like about this book. Yes, Max had his moments of being a stupid man, but lets face it, don't all men have those moments, be they real or fictional! Sunny and Max were perfect for each other. They were meant to be. ❤

This book was captivating from the first page to the last. It had great writing and well developed characters. It sucked me in from the first line and held on until the last. I was sad that it was over when I turned to the last page, but I really loved the epilogue. I'm a fan of Ms. Madden-Mills for sure, and this booked definitely sealed that!
