What a fabulous book! I have avoided Moriarty in the past because she seemed to be in the popular chick lit category and honestly... it's just not my thing.

This is a romance set in the 1920's. Mrs. Ponder and her daughter Marie Antoinette are the main characters, along with Detective Sergeant Adrian Quinlan. I only got a sample of this book but what I read was a good story, and had some funny elements, such as a ball where everyone dresses as Elvis or Audrey Hepburn. Someone is murdered, but since it was a sample I don't know the who, or why's of it.

A story about uptight gossipy moms and a murder!?!?!?! This story had so many funny moments and then there were some very serious issues to deal with also. I loved every character in this story and even the little police interviews were hysterical at times. I haven't read anything else by this author but I plan to read her others now. ...more
