What Members Thought
Interesting subject but not interesting enough for over 300 pages. There were many memorable moments that didn't add up to anything special. Something felt missing in the descriptions of the modern day decendents of Henrietta Lacks. Can't tell why but they seemed oversimplified to me. Their anger and confusion is highlighted but is all we get from them which makes them seem fake. Deborah comes across in a positive light but there were many holes in her story that made me again feel disconected.

Interesting, had no idea about this. It does tend to drag as there are so many medical facts, but the human side of the story is very engaging.
