I can't believe this book is almost 20 years old. It still reads very current in an age when kids as young as elementary school are taking their own lives due to bullying.
While all the characters are over-dramatized, I still loved this book. Why do we as a people want to knock down those that are different than us, those who behave differently? This idea is not confined to the youth as adults react the same way.
