Before I started this book, I knew it was set in Nazi Germany, but did not realize it was from Death's point of view. The first chapter or two, I was not thrilled, but by the end I was won over. I absolutely loved this. The moral, of course, being to keep reading even if you're not immediately drawn in by the writing style. I bet it will grow on you. I LOVED it. It was beautiful and strange (the way it's told) and moving. Demonstrates the power of relationships and the power of words. This will definitely be added to my "to-read-again" list.
