I laughed, I cried, I shivered from all the things I imagined while reading.
The Hobbit is one of those adventures that you can read anytime. It got me hooked right away, but especially when Gandalf first appeared and questioned Bilbo about his greeting of 'good morning'.
More than once the situation seemed rather hopeless for our heroes and that exactly makes this story so thrilling and makes one say 'oh, the poor dwarves!' (and makes one adapt Tolkien's spelling of said creatures).
