I first heard about this book because of the television show. Im half way through now, but ive watched the entire season one. I havre to s show has remained entirely faithful to the book. I am captured, absolutley enthralled with these characters and the story it is so amazingly written and i cannot wait to read his other stories. This is an epic example of character and world building! If you everr read only 1 book....this should be the one. And to think it is a series is just thrilling.

\\DNF at page 450.
I'm giving up.. This is way too long. And has way too many words.
I guess life is too short for this. ...more

So I knew what to expect having seen the TV show. I do believe that more fantastical elements could be used here but as high fantasy it's pretty good.
I gave it five stars because, despite the book having a fair few typos and grammatical errors towards the end (almost like the editor gave up?), the characters are great and the story is engaging. ...more
