What Members Thought
I found this book a bit sickly sweet at times and a bit predictable but overall it was an enjoyable read. The racism aspect was handled well and I always find it shocking that things used to be like that. Not sure about the religious side of things, especially rubbing honey into the statue of Mary. The writing style was lovely and I could picture the places she described, would be happy to read other books by this author.
