I saw the movie that was made in 2008, based on this book. It was terrific!
The cast in that film was nothing less than excellent - everybody, right down to the guy that played Lily's father, played their parts so well.
Anybody notice that Dakota Fanning, who played the part of Lily, looks very much like Jodi Foster when she was around her age?
