I'm not even sure how to begin my review of this book! I'll start by saying that I liked the book a lot! I wasn't sure how I'd like it because I didn't really care for the idea of "rewinding" or (in my mind) "aborting" a teenager. The book, however, was nothing that I expected it to be.

Different characters lived or died for what they believed in. No one really went unscathed. Connor, Risa, and Lev were all unwinds for very different reasons. I do like how (view spoiler)

This book was... okay. Sort of. I mean, it was a quick read that did its job as an action-packed dystopia novel.. but that's it basically. And I wanted more.

There were quite a few things I found utterly annoying about this book. I'll name a few:
1. The writing. Ough I hate the way this book was written!! It was way too informative and packed with dry descriptions. I found myself craving more emotions, more feelings, more drama. Terrible things happened but were related to as matter of fact. That

This is one of those books where I wished Goodreads offered half stars because for me this was 3.5 stars.

This is the first book I have read by this author. While I found him to be a great storyteller, I didn't find him to be a great writer. While he did a great job of creating a different world, I wasn't overly impressed with the writing and the characters. To be honest, it was a creepy story that left me not sure how to feel. The part where (view spoiler)

This is a dystopian novel, set in a world where adults can decide to "unwind" their child before they reach 18, if they see fit. In this novel we follow three "Unwinds" as they escape the future their parents/guardians had planned for them.

I really liked the idea for this novel as I thought it was a unique dystopian plot, that I had never read anything like before. Also lots of people have been raving about this novel, and its sequel on Goodreads, so I thought it was about time I checked it out

While deeply disturbing, I think this book was great. I was instantly pulled in by the idea of a Second World War, fought between pro-choicers and pro-lifers. They come to an agreement that gives parents the ability to sign an "unwind" order on their kids between the ages of 13-18. They are then sent to harvest camps where the essentially become forced organ donors. The concept, and description of the procedure, left me disturbed. I couldn't put the book down. ...more
