Rick Riordan is absolutely brilliant! I just love Greek and Roman mythology and the gods/goddesses and I even taught mythology to freshmen in high school. I loved that there was a lot of humor in this book. It's so perfect for YA readers! I loved Ella the harpy lol who was so sweet and shy. I actually loved all of the characters. Hazel's and Frank's relationship was adorable. I'm so glad I read this one!

I was waiting for the depiction of the Roman Camp for about a year and I wasn't disappointed. I thought that Riordan hit the Roman mentality on the head. I liked the new characters of Frank and Hazel, but not as much as I liked Leo and Piper from book one. I would give this 5 stars but to tell you the truth I just don't even like frank like AT ALL. He just annoys the crap out of me and I hate reading from his point of view. But Ella is sooo adorable. I love her<3 ...more
