I finished reading this book a few days ago -normally I write a review right away when the book is fresh in my mind and my feelings on it are at their most vivid. However, this is probably the first time I read a book and felt so indecisive on my feelings about it, as a whole. I think I am one of the very few reviewers who don't either hate it to all hell or call it the best book ever written.

The story operates on so many levels that nearly anyone can read it and enjoy it. On the most basic level the story of a post-apocalyptic world and a father-son relationship is both exciting and emotional. On top of that there are amazing allusions to the Christian religion. Took me forever to read this book because it is so incredibly depressing. But one of the best books I've ever read....which is ironic. It was great. And I'm relieved it's over.
