AMAZING! If you don't fall in love with the characters and the dynamics of their relationships then I don't know what to tell you! I must admit that at first I was a little confused by the "monsters" and the different types and characters, but I hung in there because it was interesting; however, I got hooked when the female protagonist meets the male protagonist and they see each other again after Akiva and Karou fight as enemies. But their 2nd meeting is so sensual, but there is no touching or

Maybe I'm a killjoy because i freely admit i do not like lovey dove romance in books. I'm not a hater, I just find so many love story's shallow.
For instance - I wish more time had been spent on them learning to trust each other, on getting to know each other, rather then the all or nothing approach which seemed unoriginal. Yes we know they fell in love, but what (other then lust) did they fall in love with?
Simply Just too much "shallow" romance for me to take! ...more

well, I thought I was in love with this book. it has everything I love: Plot twists, a badass heroine and a smoking hot Angel named Akiva. I'm not sure why, but I just couldn't deal with his soft side, probably because I wanted him to be a badass angel. yeah!!whatever. I'd really like to know how the story unfolds , but for now i'm putting it down.

I love this book!! It grabbed me and didn't let go. The book is about a 17 year old girl with blue hair who has a mysterious past and present. She has a very unique family and she gets an introduction to a world of magic that she never dreamed of. The ending of the book left me so surprised. I understand that this a trilogy, so I have to find the other books. I would highly recommend this book to everyone who loves fantasy. The author did a great job.

The first half of the book was great and the second half less so. It was somewhere when the story stopped being about a cool girl and the mysterious world(s) she lives in and started to tell her star crossed lovers story that I lost interest. I just felt like someone had glued together two different books.

Over descriptive, info dump, world underdevelopped, no idea what kind of universe she created... Perhaps it gets better further along the way but this book is simply not for me. I have 0 interest in knowing more. Too many books, too little time, moving on.
