This reads like padded out screen play. Hastily written then gone over to fill in the holes. There are some humorous moments but to call this is a rib tickler or laugh out loud funny is inaccurate. The quirkiness of the protagonist loses its appeal early on and the rest of the book the plods on. Mark Haddon did a better job in his 'Curious Incident of the dong in the night-time.' ...more
