I like Megan Derr's stories because she always manages to mix all kind of elements, giving it a dark flavor and writing characters who are always very intense. I think not everything was achieved in this book, and I hope it will be achieved in the next books of the series now that the majority of the setting has been built.
I thought the story would revolve more about Kyo, the prince with dragon magic, and Kin, the half-merman captain, but there's also the story of Taka, the grumpy prin ...more
