This is one of my favourite books ever and it sits in the short list of books which I can happily re-read every year.
What I particularly enjoy is that it focuses on the solidarity Robert Neville feels and the frustration that comes with it - can a human survive alone, with no to talk to without going mad?
It's also chillingly frightful but in a tense, simple way. Not much may happen for a chapter and then at the end, Ben Cortman screams "Neville" and chases our hero into his house. The threat is ...more
