I gave it one star because it says "did not like it", and did not like it, I did. First, I'm not into politics, or know more than 2% of Russian politics. You could say regarding this historical matters, I live under a rock.

A deceptively-clever little book by one of my favourite authors. I'd read it in high school but wasn't as knowledgeable about Communist Russia as I am now so didn't really appreciate it for all that it is. A must-read for all.

One of the greatest book written in last century. In 1944,Orwel so truly wrote about the fate of a revolution and the political history of all the communist/socialist countries.
