Smart description of dictatorship while the members are convinced of everything else except for the truth.
I have not read carefully the prefaces, only some lines. And I am not a historian to know a lot about Russia's history, Revolution of 1917 (or it was 1918?), consequences and so on. Still from the first pages I got the feeling Orwell was talking about regimes in Russia. Maybe in my mind appeared a thought I heard some time ago - that this work talks about Stalin and his regime.
