One of the most meaningful and rewarding books I have ever read. Written with such tender grace it is amazing a man wrote this from two womens point of view. It has to be the most relevant accounts of historical fiction that takes place during my lifetime, spanning three decades of Afghan history. I can't help but think of this as a very real story that was belivable and things like this still do take place in Afghanistan and in similar ways all over.
