The writing style was just a bit too old-fashioned to hold my interest. I'm used to a faster paced story, and I just couldn't wait any longer for something, anything to happen.

Really liked this one. Had been meaning to read it for a while now, and am glad I got round to doing so. Will be looking for more Dodie Smith soon enough.
