I'd like to think of this book as a journey I took with my favorite couple. I believe Clare was the vessel that made Henry a better man, and lost a little of herself in the process. As many women do they give and they wait on thier husbands and children to grow up and become the best they can be. I well miss them in my life. This book made my heart grow and soul soar. There are some laugh out loud moments that suprised me I didn't know it would be that funny. I don't want to ruin it for anyone s ...more

Oh my, this book was so good. People kept telling me I had to read it, had to read it. I hate when people say that, it just makes me not want to read it even more. But, I gave in and bought it when I was at Target one day. I had a bit of a preview of the first couple of pages when I went to a Reading Institute and didn't think much of it. I read this book six years ago when it was first published, and it was hard to follow but I just loved the characters. Now, my daughter is reading it so she can be ready for the movie, and we read aloud to each other as we traveled by car to Gainesville. I had forgotten how beautifully written it is! And clever! Niffenegger sure knows how to manage her characters - almost as good as Geraldine Brooks, who, for my money, is the master. Lovely, lovely book. Can't wait to see Eric Bana and Rachel Mc ...more

I loved this book. The characters were so life like to me. I loved how involved I got into their lives, through the good and the bad. I shared their joy and sorrow, their hope and loss, and most especially their love to one another. I haven't seen this movie, but I am looking forward to see how the director portrays the book. The only draw back that I had towards the book was I would forget what day or year they were in because it jumped around a lot. I just had to turn back a few pages, especia ...more

I loved this book. From the beginning I was drawn in and remained completely intrigued throughout the book. At first it was a little difficult to wrap my head around the time-travel concept, but after I got that, I couldn't put the book down. It was well written, interesting, stimulating and a wonderful, unique love story. ...more
