The Hunger Games gave readers a chance to experience feelings of loneliness, compassion, and anxiety while they read. In the novel, Suzanne Collins allows readers to experience all the events through the protagonist's perspective. Her name is Katniss Everdeen and she is left to fend for her and her family when her father passed away in a mining accident. Their family lives in the poorest of all districts, making it more difficult for Katniss to keep her precious family alive. Every year there is ...more

I was very impressed with this novel. Susan Collins has a wonderful way with putting an image in your head with her words. I had seen the movie before I read the book so I knew somewhat of what the book was supposed to be like. I think that the book was a little bit better than the movie. I loved the attitude Catniss and Peeta in the story. It really draws people in to the story line when teammates start out not getting a long with each other, then going through a journey with then falling in lo ...more

This book is by far one of the best books I have ever read. I would most definitely recomend this book to anyone I know. I do not believe that the Hunger Games is one of those books that only a girl or boy could read. I believe that any gender or age could enjoy reading this book.
Though the message of this book is given away by everyone who has read it I still believe that it is worth reading because of the deeper themes and messages in the story. It has love, fun, laughter, and suspense. The o

Throughout the Novel, The author tried to emphasize the strong feelings from one human being to another and how love and determination to live can become the hope through many obstacles. Also the Fear on human beings and their will-less and controlled minds. I think this book was written to show the view of government or other things that control our world and our fear to stop it for others sick entertainment. A lot of parts of the book made me feel uncomfortable because of how the games were set ...more

The Hunger Games is one of the best books I have ever read. I recommend this novel to anyone that loves intense action but also some romance. I loved the idea of the games but not why they had to have them. In the twelve districts of Panem each has to fight to the death until there is one victor remaining. This is so because of the rebellion that had once occured between the thirteen districts againts the Capitol. The Capitol is in charge of the remaining twelve districts that now serve the Capi ...more

The Hunger Games is one of those books that it seems physically impossible to put down. In a future America called Panem, twelve districts are ruled over by the ruthless Capitol that forces the district’s children to participate in the Hunger Games, a televison broadcast fight to the death, for their entertainment. The plot follows Katniss Everdeen as she struggles to survive through this ordeal. The Hunger Games is a novel that everyone can enjoy, and everyone does. People read this book acros ...more
