Scarlet is a fun read with relatable characters and an interesting story line that many will highly enjoy. Jumping into this book, you know that Scarlet is a fairy-tale spin-off of the famous tale "Little Red Riding Hood" however, unless you read Cinder before hand,(witch i recommend you do, because this book takes off right after Cinder)this world that Marissa Meyer builds is unlike anything ever done before. Her use of both Cyborgs and Lunar People took a little time for me to get used to because i am not used to all of the different si-fi elements, yet once i got engulfed in the characters, i was hooked on this story. I also love how this story is told from three main POVs, because Cinder ended with such a cliff-hanger, i wanted to know what had happened to her. So even though we we get Scarlet's POV, we also still get Cinder's, and even Kai's. which i loved. Meyer's blend of Si-fi, fantasy, and fairy-tale retelling is so unique and intriguing that will keep readers satisfied until the last page.
