When I first started reading Reached, I was predicting a Hunger Games sort of ending. But not only was I proven wrong, I was mindblown in the process. Firstly, I should not have compared this trilogy to the Hunger Games, because it has nothing similar to it at all, except for its dystopian setting and restrictive lifestyle imposed upon by the government. Otherwise, it was completely different.

I’ve always loved the Matched trilogy. It’s my favorite dystopian series, even more than the Hunger Games (shh don’t tell anyone).

Cassia is one my favorite main heroines, ever. She’s so gentle, and sweet, but throughout the series you can really see her get stronger. Her poetry, and beautiful narrative is enough to reduce me to tears. She really goes after her goals, like writing and creating art, but in a peaceful way.
