The lives and work of Elizabeth and William Friedman is incredible- 40 years of cryptology, fighting Nazis, and locating spies. I definitely feel like this book helped me understand code breaking and Enigma and many other spy elements of WWII that I didn’t previously know as much about.
The pacing was a little slow for me though. A lot of the stories would be an event happening during the war, and then at the end there would be a little connection to how Elizabet ...more
